On Saturday night, Jen and I went to Opera for dinner to celebrate our friend Jodi's birthday. We ordered some drinks, and I started to peruse the menu. After appetizers, they section out the menu in the categories 'From the Land', 'From the Air' and 'From the Sea'. I was incredibly amused to find the entire 'By Air' category consisting of 4 chicken dishes. Now I know they can do crazy things to animals with hormones these days, but I have yet to see them do anything that would land a chicken in a category called 'By Air'.

Jen and I went to see Fast Food Nation last night at the AMC over on Illinois (of course). I always have such a hard time with seeing movies or reading stuff whose content tackles the issues of fast food corporate machinery or animal rights. Clearly, Fast Food Nation wasn't a story revolving around a stance on animal cruelty but its story did follow your hamburger back to everything that went on to get it to your plate - or more realistically - your lap, while you're driving your car and eating.

I just got my copy of Tres Logos, which is the third installment of Die Gestalten Verlag's awesome logo book series. I was asked to submit logos for the book about a year ago, and I sent them a ton of stuff. They ended up using 6 of my logos! The logos were for skinnyCorp, Mixblox, A Life Once Lost, Sports Alumni Network, Threadless 12 Club, and Greg Fishman Jazz Studios. I'm so honored to be part of such a giant book of amazing design!

Man, I wish I had a really good excuse for not posting here lately - like I was kidnapped or curing AIDS - but no, I just didn't feel like writing. I was also pretty disenchanted with having a blog where people couldn't comment. How boring! Well thanks to Harper, I'm up and running and everything is back to normal. Mark my words though, if any of you motherfuckers post anything about online poker or penis enhancing tablets I will kill your entire family. Pet's too!
